The holidays always make me reminisce: of my first Christmas memories with my sisterof my sons’ excitement as we baked cookies for Santa; and of my granddaughters’ gleeful faces whenever they’d come for a visit and see the colorful decorations.

I feel the spirit of the holidays shift our focus from the fast-paced to pause and warmth. I enjoy the fact that Christmas and New Years are close together in date. It extends the softer moments, gives us time to reflect and find perspective on what’s really important in life.

Recharging and preparing to take on another new year shows resilience, and proves that no matter what comes into our lives, we have the strength to make it to the other side.

That’s what I wish for you this holiday season: resilience, warmth and time together.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
