Leadership Road – pathway to the future

Aug 28, 2017 | Leadership, Learning Evaluation

Leadership is a journey, not a destination.  This series of modules will build essential skills for front line leaders, and provide opportunities to practice the learning between modules with relevant activities.  An Action Plan after each module provides a follow up guide for the leaders to support learning on the job.  Building skills over time ensures application and retention of the learning.

Our model is to teach leaders to coach to the expected standards of performance.  Standards provide a framework for establishing expected behaviours and coaching performance. When setting standards keep in mind:

  1. Reflect the highest level of achievement you are aiming for.
  2. Relate standards to an individual rather than to the team or the business, as these would be additional standards.
  3. Ensure the standards are within the circle of influence for the individual or the leader to perform.

Keep in mind, the lowest practice of behavior you accept, is what you will see reflected in performance.
